 Welcome to Leadership Thunder Bay

The future Thunder Bay must be prosperous, healthy and dynamic. This result can only be delivered by strong, informed, skilled and connected community leadership. Leadership Thunder Bay is a unique action study program designed to:
  • Identify emerging leaders in the public, private and not-for profit sectors.
  • Inspire, challenge, inform, develop and connect these emerging leaders.
  • Strengthen their commitment to community trusteeship.
  • Help them engage the rest of the community in making the future Thunder Bay the best it can be.

The program participants will strengthen their leadership skills by:

  • Using both theory and practice.
  • Broadening their exposure to community institutions, resources and leaders.
  • Increasing their understanding of systems in the community and how to improve them.
  • Addressing local issues through varied leadership perspectives and methods.
  • Basing their work on vision and a cross-sectoral viewpoint.
  • Completing a group leadership project.
  • Joining an Alumni network.
The program clearly serves the Community.
However, the skills and knowledge acquired will be equally applicable
to the careers of the participants. Everybody wins.
