ANNUAL TURKEY DRIVE IS UNDERWAY
November 1, 2020
Dear Leadership Thunder Bay Alumni,
The Leadership Thunder Bay Engagement and Development Committee (formerly Alumni Committee) has
started planning the 5th Annual Turkey Drive, we are reaching out to ask you for a donation to make this
year another great success.
During the holiday season, most of us will gather with our families and friends to share a holiday meal.
Unfortunately, this isn’t the case for everyone. For those less fortunate, they will be wondering where
their next meal will come from, never mind a special holiday meal. The LTB Turkey Drive is our way of
showing kindness and support for people who are less fortunate. Over the past four years LTB has raised
$10,000.00 dollars and donated over 300 frozen turkeys to support those in need in our community during
the holiday season. Your donations support the purchasing of frozen turkeys and all the “fixins” for a
holiday dinner including holiday baking, breakfast and lunch items.
Leadership Thunder Bay is fortunate to have two local businesses sponsor the LTB Turkey Drive every
year. Our turkey drive would not be the success without Shawn’s No Frills and Halfway Motors. We are
thrilled they have committed their support again this year. We also partner with the Regional Food
Distribution Association who distributed the donations to families in need in Thunder Bay and the region.
Due to COVID-19 this year our request is for monetary donations. Donations over $20.00 will receive a
charitable donation receipt. E-transfers are accepted and preferred. Please e-transfer to Matt Villella at
Our goal this year is to raise $5000.00. It is our hope you will consider supporting the goal by donating
$5.00 for every year you are a LTB alum. For example, if you graduated in 2009, you have been an alum
for 11 year. So, 11 years x $5.00 = $55.00. We are counting on your support. Your donation, large or
small, will make a difference!
Your kindness and generosity are greatly appreciated. Together we will make an impact on the lives of
so many people, within our community and region.
Thank you for your support,
Kelly Fettes and Matt Villella
